One year from this Current Events entry (posted here March 4, 2007), on March 4, 2008, we shall commemorate the 75th anniversary of the inauguration of Franklin D. Roosevelt as President of the United States, and the beginning of the New Deal. Beginning in March, 2008 we shall join together to heighten public awareness and appreciation of America's New Deal experience, and the enduring legacy of the New Deal in America today.
On March 4, 1933 FDR became America's thirty second President, and America began the greatest political and economic transformation in its history. Please join us in preparing for the 75th anniversary of the New Deal by going to

A balmy winter evening at Union Station, Wednesday, January 3, 2007, when the FDR Center Museum played host to Massachusetts Governor Elect Deval Patrick and Lieutenant-Governor Elect Timothy Murray on the eve of their historic inaugurations. The FDR Center Museum served as a the media center for our new Governor and Lieutenant Governor after their speeches below in Union Station's Great Hall during the pre-inaugural bash held in Worcester at Union Station.
